Gary Bushrod is an experienced learning professional with expertise ranging from talent development, facilitation and instructional design, to project management and financial analysis.   He is a proud alum of Hampton University, with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management.

Upon graduating from Hampton University, Gary began his career in finance. He then transitioned into the learning & development field when accepting a role with Booz Allen Hamilton as a Training Facilitator and Instructional Designer. In the Fall of 2012, he enrolled in the Curriculum & Instruction program at George Mason University, earning his Master of Science in Education in 2014.

After receiving his master’s degree, Gary relocated to New York City and accepted a role as Program Manager of Risk Management & Compliance Learning & Development with JPMorgan Chase & Co. Now, he is serving as a Client Learning Manager at Capital One.

Outside of the office

Beyond his expertise in the corporate world, Gary is quite the creative.  He is a talented coach and choreographer, and led the Herndon High School Step Team (Herndon, VA) to become two-time national champions in 2011 and 2013. He writes for various travel publications and also records, edits, and produces his own YouTube channel. 

In addition to this traveling is one of Gary's favorite pastimes.  He’s traveled to dozens of countries in the last four years, often times on solo trips, documenting his adventures on his travel & lifestyle blog, CatchGifUcan.com. In 2018, Gary was named as one of Hampton University’s Top Forty under 40 Alumni.
